Blog Promotion Checklist

Publish Data-Driven Content

People trust facts. When you use numbers, statistics, or real research in your blog posts, your content feels more trustworthy, helpful, and shareable.

There are two ways to do it:

Do your small study (original research), meaning you can collect your data and share it, using your own experience or, if available, customer feedback or data from your own business.

Or

Use existing data:

If you don’t want to run your own study, you can still create smart content by gathering useful information from others. Look for recent studies, reports, and statistics related to your blog topic.

Update Old Blog Posts.

If you already have blog posts, check them regularly and update any old info.

Share It on Social Media

Try Facebook Ads:

Consider investing a small budget to promote your blog using Facebook ads. Targeting users who have already visited your website can boost your results significantly.

Share Your Blog on LinkedIn:

Transform your blog content into a brief post or article on LinkedIn. It’s an excellent way to reach a wider audience, especially professionals in your industry.

Encourage Cross-Platform Following:

Ask your audience to connect with you on different online channels, not just one. For example, if someone subscribes to your email newsletter, you can invite them to also follow you on Instagram or Facebook. This way, they can see your content in more than one place. By being present on several platforms, you increase the chances they will see your updates, offers, or new blog posts. Also, if someone follows you in multiple places, it builds a stronger relationship — they get to know you better and trust you more. Plus, it helps you grow your audience faster because your content can be shared and discovered more easily across different communities.

Work with Others

Send personal messages (not spam):

If you want someone to read or share your blog, send them a kind, personal message. Say why you think it might help them.

Team Up with other Bloggers or Experts:

You can create content together, like interviews or guest posts, and share each other’s audience.

Share Something Special on Podcast:

If you’re on a podcast, mention a special link where listeners can get something useful (some bonus). This could be something like:

  • A free ebook or guide

  • A discount or special offer

  • Exclusive tips or videos

Talk With Your Audience

Email Your Readers:
Send a simple email about the blog. Keep your email simple—something like: 'I’ve written something useful you might enjoy, take a look!'

Reply to Blog Comments Quickly:
If someone comments on your blog, try to reply within a day or two. It makes them feel heard and builds trust.

Repurpose Your Blog Creatively

Turn the Blog Post into a Short Video:
Pick the main ideas from your blog and make a quick 2–5 minute video. You can record yourself talking, or just use slides with your voice. Great for YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok.

Design an Infographic:
Summarize your blog’s key facts, steps, or statistics into a visual infographic. These work especially well on Pinterest, LinkedIn, or on your post itself.

Create a Downloadable PDF or Guide:
Turn your blog into a printable checklist, mini workbook, or one-page summary. Then offer it as a freebie to your readers or email subscribers.
